Custom Continental Mark III
The Custom Continental Mark III was designed by Ira Gilford. It is based on the 1969 Lincoln Continental Mark III, a large American personal luxury car.
It was first released in 1969 and produced with Redline (RL) wheels until 1971.
This casting is notable for its size and luxury features. It has an opening hood and a very detailed grille that mimics the real car's prominent Rolls-Royce style grille. The trunk area features the "spare tire hump" characteristic of the Mark III. U.S. and Hong Kong versions differ, especially in the shape of the hood blisters.
It is one of the few luxury car models from the original Redline era, along with the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow and the Custom Eldorado.
It was produced in many Spectraflame colors, with light green and blue being common. A very rare version was produced in antifreeze-on-chrome finish. Interior colors vary.
