The Super Scraper was designed by Larry Wood. It is based on a customized 1980s era Buick Regal or similar GM G-body car.
The casting was first released in 1983. Model 1129 is from the "Real Riders" series of that same year.
The casting has a low-rider or "scraper" stance, hence the name. It has a smooth, clean design with a metal body and base. The 1983 Real Riders version came in metalflake red with yellow and orange graphics and featured rubber Real Riders tires on chrome 5-spoke wheels.
It is similar in style to other 80s American coupe castings like the Oldsmobile 442 or the Monte Carlo SS.
The mainline version released in 1983 was blue. The casting was short-lived.
