The Fiero 2M4 was designed by Larry Wood. It is based on the Pontiac Fiero 2M4, a groundbreaking American mid-engine sports car from the 1980s.
The casting debuted in 1985. Model 7527 was part of "The Hot Ones" series from that year, featuring GHO (Gold Hot Ones) wheels.
The casting is a faithful representation of the real Fiero's wedge-shaped design. The "Hot Ones" version from 1985 was released in red with yellow and black side stripes and featured the fast-rolling GHO wheels.
It belongs to a group of 1980s two-seat sports car castings, including the Toyota MR2 and the Bertone X1/9.
After its "Hot Ones" debut, it was released in the mainline in various colors, including white and black. A version with rubber Real Riders tires was also produced.
